When it comes to family holiday photos, aim for a refined, timeless, and festive aesthetic! I've included some of my favorite style combinations along with example photos to make sure your Christmas cards are perfection.
I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas
Bright, white outfits have such a classic and elegant look. Mix in some off-whites if you'd like to. I recommend that you utilize different fabrics on family members to spice up all-white outfits!
Velvet, Tulle, Fur, and Sequins!
Textures are everything. Velvet, tulle, and plush coats give holiday photos a fun and festive vibe, yet the images are so stunning and timeless. Sequins add a beautiful sparkle to photos to really add to the holiday spirit.
Shades of Green & Beige
Green will always be a classic Christmas color and rich green shades pair so well with light neutrals like ivory and beige.
Gold, Green, and Navy
A gorgeous golden velvet dress adds such a warm and vibrant aesthetic to family holiday photos. Pair gold with navy, and mix in a deep crimson red or earthy green and you're sure to have Christmas photos that stand out.
Timeless Black
Black is timeless and sophisticated, so don’t be afraid to choose black for your family Christmas photo palette. Again, you can spice it up with different fabrics and textures; a leather skirt, a studded dress, or a beautiful flowy top are all great examples!
Classic Christmas
Red and green are the standard colors of Christmas. If you're going to choose red, I would suggest pairing it with more classic neutral pieces to provide balance for a vibrant color like red.
A Pop of Plaid
Plaid can be so cute when done right and is a great choice if you're opting for a more casual Christmas outfit. Simple plaid pieces like a flannel shirt or shacket are a great way to achieve that. The combo of brown, black, and white always photograph well and they give the outfits and photo a timeless appeal. But, you can choose a more colorful plaid print as well!

If you really want to go for a very casual, comfortable, and fun look, matching Christmas pajamas is a cute option. If you don’t want exact matching PJs, choose pieces with the same colors and style.
